My Favorite 100 Best Verses To Memorize
by Dr. Waylon B. Moore
I've discovered verses to memorize from a variety of sources. As a child I
memorized verses for Sunday School. Later, I learned verses from the highly
prized Navigators' Topical Memory System. In
Living God's Word
I recount the story of the first verse pack that I received, while working one
summer at the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago. That course gave me my start
into a lifetime of rewarding Scripture memory and application.
Other verses were tattooed onto my heart by the Holy Spirit during times of
pressure, from my devotional reading or when looking for answers. Some verses
are juicy, inspirational WOW!
Others are basic and foundational. Some came
from my life as a single adult; others while I was a traveling pastor and dad.
Some are old, others almost new. May I suggest for beginners that
it is better to know 100 key verses, reflecting a broad balance of Bible
teaching, rather than to memorize two or three entire Bible chapters? Either
way, begin this fascinating journey with God, and keep up a steady pace. How
many verses will you eventually memorize? Who's counting!
Memorize two or three verses each week. Begin on Monday. Say the Topic, then
glue the reference to the first word of each verse. Review. Review. After
memorizing the verse segments, meditate on each verse. When you complete this

me and I'll send you other great verses. For information on how to memorize and
meditate get

Two chapters give the practical "how-to" on these tools. You'll begin to grow
tremendously.
